Aramean people: Aramean people (not to be confused with ‘Armenians’) speak Aramaic, the language spoken by Abraham, Moses and Jesus. They are the indigenous people of what was called in ancient times Aram- Nahrin, in our days it is called ‘Mesopotamia’.

Some Arameans today identify themselves with “Assyrians”, because of the spiritual colonial hate generating activities of the Western missionaries and diplomats in the Middle-East in 16th and 19th centuries. Other Arameans became known as “Chaldeans”. However all of them are Arameans.

In Turkey, the Arameans are called: Süryani. In Arabic they are called Al- Suryan.

Isaiah 1:23: “Your leaders are rebels and friends of thieves; they are always accepting gifts and bribes. They never defend orphans in court or listen when widows present their case”

My people, your leaders are misleading you, so that you do not know which way to turn. 13 The LORD is ready to state his case; he is ready to judge his people. 14 The LORD is bringing the elders and leaders of his people to judgment. He makes this accusation: "You have plundered vineyards, and your houses are full of what you have taken from the poor. 15 You have no right to crush my people and take advantage of the poor. I, the Sovereign LORD Almighty, have spoken."

Isaiah 9:16-17: “Those who lead these people have misled them and totally confused them. 17 ………, because all the people are godless and wicked and everything they say is evil “

Jeremiah 2:8: The priests said not, Where [is] the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me,

Jeremiah 5:26-28: "Evil men live among my people; they lie in wait like men who lay nets to catch birds, but they have set their traps to catch men. 27 Just as a hunter fills his cage with birds, they have filled their houses with loot. That is why they are powerful and rich, 28 why they are fat and well fed. There is no limit to their evil deeds. They do not give orphans their rights or show justice to the oppressed”

Jeremiah 5:29-31: " Shall I not punish [them] for these [things?'] says the LORD. 'Shall I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?' 30 " An astonishing and horrible thing Has been committed in the land: 31 The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule by their [own] power; And My people love [to have it] so. But what will you do in the end? "

Jeremiah 8:8-10: "How can you say, 'We [are] wise, And the law of the LORD [is] with us'? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood. 9 The wise men are ashamed, They are dismayed and taken. Behold, they have rejected the word of the LORD; So what wisdom do they have? 10 Therefore I will give their wives to others, [And] their fields to those who will inherit [them;] Because from the least even to the greatest. Everyone is given to covetousness; From the prophet even to the priest Everyone deals falsely”

Jeremiah 8:11-12: “They act as if my people's wounds were only scratches. 'All is well,' they say, when all is not well. 12 My people, were you ashamed because you did these disgusting things? No, you were not ashamed at all; you don't even know how to blush! And so you will fall as others have fallen; when I punish you, that will be the end of you. I, the LORD, have spoken.

Jeremiah 10:20-21: “My tent is plundered, And all my cords are broken; My children have gone from me, And they [are] no more. [There is] no one to pitch my tent anymore, Or set up my curtains. 21 For the shepherds have become dull-hearted, And have not sought the LORD; Therefore they shall not prosper, And all their flocks shall be scattered.

Jeremiah 23:1-3: "Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!" says the LORD. 2 Therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel against the shepherds who feed My people: "You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings," says the LORD. 3 "But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

Jeremiah 23:11-12: “The LORD says, "The prophets and the priests are godless; I have caught them doing evil in the Temple itself. 12 The paths they follow will be slippery and dark; I will make them stumble and fall. I am going to bring disaster on them; the time of their punishment is coming. I, the LORD, have spoken.

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܦ ܢܒ̈ܝܐ ܘܐܦ ܟܗ̈ܢܐ. ܐܬܚܼܿܢܦܘ ܘܐܦ ܟܒܝܬܝ. ܐܫܿܚܬ ܟܝܫܘܬܗܘܢ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܢܗܘ̈ܝܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܗܘܢ ܡܫܪ̈ܘܥܝܬܐ. ܘܠܚܫܘܟܐ ܢܬܕܚܘܢ. ܘܢܦܼܠܘܢ ܒܗܝܢ. ܡܛܠ ܕܡܿܝܬܐ ܐܢܼܐ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܒܝܼܫܬܐ:ܫܢܿܬܐ ܕܦܘܩܕܢܗܘܢ ܐܡܿܪ ܡܪܝܐ(ܐܪܡܝܐ 23:11-12)

Hosea 4:4-10: “4 The LORD says, "Let no one accuse the people or reprimand them--my complaint is against you priests. 5 Night and day you blunder on, and the prophets do no better than you. ……. My people are doomed because they do not acknowledge me. You priests have refused to acknowledge me and have rejected my teaching, and so I reject you and will not acknowledge your sons as my priests. 7 "The more of you priests there are, the more you sin against me, and so I will turn your honor into disgrace. 8 You grow rich from the sins of my people, and so you want them to sin more and more. 9 You will suffer the same punishment as the people! I will punish you and make you pay for the evil you do. 10 You will eat your share of the sacrifices, but still be hungry. You will worship the fertility gods, but still have no children, because you have turned away from me to follow other gods."

Hosea 4:14: “Yet I will not punish them for this, because you yourselves go off with temple prostitutes, and together with them you offer pagan sacrifices. As the proverb says, 'A people without sense will be ruined.'

Hosea 5:1-2: "Listen to this, you priests! Pay attention, people of Israel! Listen, you that belong to the royal family! You are supposed to judge with justice- -so judgment will fall on you! You have become a trap at Mizpah, a net spread on Mount Tabor, 2 a deep pit at Acacia City, and I will punish all of you.

ܫܡܰܥܽܘ ܗܝܐ ܟܳܗ̈ܢܐ: ܘܨܘܬܘ ܒܶܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ ܘܒܶܝܬ ܡ̇ܰܠܟܳܐ ܫܡ̣ܰܥܽܘ. ܡܶܛܽܠ ܕܕܺܝܠܟ݂ܽܘܢ.ܗܘ ܕܺܝܢ̣ܐ. ܕܦܚ̈ܐ ܗܘܝ̣ܬܘܢ ܠܪ̈ܘܩܐ: ܘܡܨܝܕܬܐ ܕܦܪܝܣܐ ܥܰܠ ܬܒܘܪ.. ܘܨܝܕ̈ܐ݀ ܕܨ̇ܝܕܝܢ. ܛܡ̣ܪܘ ܦܚ̈ܐ. ܐܢ̇ܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܪܕܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ.

Hosea 6:9: “The priests are like a gang of robbers who wait in ambush for a man. Even on the road to the holy place at Shechem they commit murder. And they do all this evil deliberately!”

ܐܫܬܘܬܦܘ ܟܗܢ̈ܐ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ. ܘܩ̣ܛܠܘ ܠܫܟ݂ܝܡ. ܡܛܠ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܥܒܕܘ (ܗܘܫܥ:6:9̣)

Malachi 1:6-14: “ 6 The LORD Almighty says to the priests, "A son honors his father, and a servant honors his master. I am your father--why don't you honor me? I am your master--why don't you respect me? You despise me, and yet you ask, 'How have we despised you?' 7 This is how--by offering worthless food on my altar. Then you ask, 'How have we failed to respect you?' I will tell you--by showing contempt for my altar. 8 When you bring a blind or sick or lame animal to sacrifice to me, do you think there's nothing wrong with that? Try giving an animal like that to the governor! Would he be pleased with you or grant you any favors?" 9 Now, you priests, try asking God to be good to us. He will not answer your prayer, and it will be your fault. 10 The LORD Almighty says, "I wish one of you would close the Temple doors so as to prevent you from lighting useless fires on my altar. I am not pleased with you; I will not accept the offerings you bring me. 11 People from one end of the world to the other honor me. Everywhere they burn incense to me and offer acceptable sacrifices. All of them honor me! 12 But you dishonor me when you say that my altar is worthless and when you offer on it food that you despise. 13 You say, 'How tired we are of all this!' and you turn up your nose at me. As your offering to me you bring a stolen animal or one that is lame or sick. Do you think I will accept that from you? 14 A curse on the cheater who sacrifices a worthless animal to me, when he has in his flock a good animal that he promised to give me! For I am a great king, and people of all nations fear me."

Malachi 2:1-9: The LORD Almighty says to the priests, "This command is for you: You must honor me by what you do. If you will not listen to what I say, then I will bring a curse on you. I will put a curse on the things you receive for your support. In fact, I have already put a curse on them, because you do not take my command seriously. I will punish your children and rub your faces in the dung of the animals you sacrifice--and you will be taken out to the dung heap. Then you will know that I have given you this command, so that my covenant with the priests, the descendants of Levi, will not be broken. So I, in turn, will make the people of Israel despise you because you do not obey my will, and when you teach my people, you do not treat everyone alike."

Ezekiel 34:1-10: “The LORD spoke to me. 2 "Mortal man," he said, "denounce the rulers of Israel. You take care of yourselves, but never tend the sheep. 3 You drink the milk, wear clothes made from the wool, and kill and eat the finest sheep.
